An Injustice in Hartford

Editor & Publisher is reporting today that Hartford Paper Tells Employee to Kill Blog. The employee in question, Denis Horgan, is currently a travel writer for the paper and wrote his own column on his own time and published it with his own money. But his employer, The Hartford  Courant,  has demanded that he shut it down, suggesting it makes the paper "vulnerable." Sadly, this is neither the first nor likely the last time we will hear of a case like this.
