In an article about plans for AT&T Wireless and Cingular Wireless to form a joint venture, I found this line: "AT&T Wireless has made the transition to GSM/GPRS service in more than 20 U.S. markets, and said it expects to complete its GSM/GPRS roll out by the end of 2002." Looks like the US mobile market may yet be assimilated to GSM. If this is the case, I can't wait until I can use a Handspring Treo with AT&T!
