I've been to Missoula countless times before, but amazingly, I'd never stumbled upon this place until now. Down a quiet street on the other side of the river, it didn't look like anything -- until we set foot inside. The proprietor was a distinguished lady that clearly both took pride in her shop and her craft.
When we visited, there was a young women probably in her late 20s that was awkwardly buying some materials and eagerly trying to learn how to knit from the lady. The woman had come to Missoula to study creative writing, but the pace was too slow and she was readying to head back from whence she came: the bustling metropolis of L.A. It was such a contrast generationally, geographically and culturally.
