Gone Bananas

My digital camera has been missing for the last week and it's been causing me great grief.* Even though I seem to be too busy to take many pictures these days, I like to know that I can.

Just yesterday, Hannah and I were discussing how we really haven't taken any fun pictures of each other since we went to Boston last year. "And so much has happened," we exclaimed. Indeed.

Thank goodness Moira got a slick new camera and loves to use it. Seeing this picture of Hannah after she and Moira Beat the Burnside on Sunday morning, I can't wait to chase her in Nike RunHitWonder!

Rockin' in el mundo libro

Wired News: "As part of a pilot program, Duke University plans to give iPods loaded with school calendars and other information to its 1,800 incoming freshmen. Students can download class materials to listen to anything from audio examples of textbook exercises to Spanish songs."

In case you haven't heard, Apple introduced two new iPod models today in what amounts to an evolutionary release: 20GB and 40GB models for $299 and $399 respectively. The most significant new features: Shuffle Play is now listed on the main menu and the Apple Click Wheel first introduced on the iPod mini earlier this year has been adopted by its bigger brother. Glancing at the spec sheet, I'm disappointed to see Apple has used a little bit of "BIG PRINT GIVETH, little print taketh" with this release: Docks are no longer included. True prices? $338 / $438.

Assessing Airport Website Usability

It's a holiday weekend and a lot of people will be taking to the skies this weekend so I thought I'd take a look at airport websites to assess their usability. What I found is that airport websites vary considerably in their content, functionality and ease of use. Some have implemented very slick features, but all have room for improvement on some of the basics.
