I received this observation from a friend today:
"Stopped on my way back to the office to get hot chocolate. It just struck me as fascinating that people are willing to pay $5/day for a foofy-coffee, but will blanch at paying $3 for a gallon of milk. I must admit that there are days where I fall into that category. :)
Ahem, me, too. As anyone who goes grocery shopping with me knows, I turn ballistic if the milk's not on sale for $1.99/gallon. Yet I consider a 12 oz. hot chocolate at my local coffee shop to be a fair deal at $1.90. Hmm...
